CAROL ODELL  -  INTERMEDIATE COUNSEL
Carol has participated on independent engineering teams assessing projects against IFC Performance Standards, EBRD Requirements and the Equator Principles for projects in Africa, Europe and the Americas. In addition she implemented the community relations team and local hiring programs within external relations department for a large-scale mining project, and is an experienced social impact and risk assessor.

Carol has a multidisciplinary training in Geology and Social Management and has written papers on topics ranging from results-based External Affairs for mining and corporate ethics to integrating social concerns into mine design and corporate strategy. Carol is a PhD candidate in mining engineering and speaks Spanish and English, as well as basic French and German.
